MOZAMBIQUE

In August 2009, GLOMUS offered a joint one- week course of music making, concerts and networking meeting on the beautiful Island of Mozambique, a former Portuguese fortress and UNESCO world heritage site in Mozambique.

The Camp brought together 35 participants (teachers/students) from:

  • Mozambique
  • South Africa
  • Ghana
  • Mali
  • Syria
  • Finland
  • Sweden
  • Denmark
  • Norway

The objectives of this pioneering project were to attain intercultural understanding between Nordic and African cultures through collaborative music making and intensive learning.
