GLOMUS Camp - Denmark 2022

Aarhus provided the framework for GLOMUS CAMP 2022. Around 200 students and teachers from higher music and performing arts educations around the world met to unfold, explore and challenge each other in artistic intercultural collaborations.

The camp's thematic focus, GLOBAL OPTIMISM, formed the basis for artistic co-creation and debate during the camp. How do young artists understand and interpret the cultural, political and human challenges and possibilities that the world faces after the global pandemic? Can art and cultural meetings have a healing effect? Does art have an answer or new questions to add?

During the ten days, several public events were held, where citizens from Aarhus and local collaborators experienced and participated in the camp.

Situated in Musikhuset, the camp was hosted and organized The Royal Academy of Music and The Danish National School of Performing Arts in collaboration with the concert house turkis, Music City Aarhus 2022, Aarhus Municipality, and Aarhus Music School.
