GLOMUS Camp - Malaysia 2015

In January 2015, the fourth GLOMUS camp was held in Malaysia, on the island of Borneo, near the city of Kuching.

125 participants from 21 countries joined the GLOMUS Camp 2015, making it the biggest manifestation of the GLOMUS spirit so far. The programme consisted of intercultural music making, regional presentations, excursions, interaction with the hosting country locals in form of jam sessions and concerts.

The GLOMUS Camp 2015 was initiated by the The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus/Aalborg (Denmark) and Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki (Finland) in cooperation with the local organizer Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia) and co-organizer Suzhou University of Science and Technology, Academy of Music (China). In addition to the support from the institutions, Danish and Finnish Governments supported the Camp financially.

The venue of the Camp was the Sarawak Cultural Village and the final concert was held at the New Sarawak State Legislative Assembly building in the city of Kuching.
